We advise all Career Forum participants to arrive in Prague in advance of their scheduled events on Friday or Saturday.
Below you will find a quick overview of the means of transportation from the airport to the city and to Prague University of Economics and Business Campus.
How to get to Prague?
Airport to City Center
Vaclav Havel Aiport Prague, also called Praha, is the main international gateway to prague, about 15 km (9.3 miles) of Prague city centre. The city centre can be reached quickly and comfortably either by public transport, shuttle bus or taxi.
Train from Airport
Pražská integrovaná doprava is the Czech train company in Prague and its station at the airport is located at Terminal 1 building (T1). Once you are at T1, follow the train signs. Take the line 59, trains depart every 6 minutes and you need to stop at Divoká Šárka before changing for the subway 26 going to Nádraží Hostivař. Stop at the station Hlavní nádraží, you are now in the city center. You can find more information here.
Shuttle bus from Airport
To go to the city center, you can use the bus company České dráhy (ČD) called AE, which deliver direct transfer from Terminal 1 to Prague Central Train Station in between 35 and 45min.
You have one train every 30min. The ticket cost 200 CZK. You can purchase the ticket directly in the bus or online here.
Taxi from Airport
You can use the UBER ticket machine before the exit of the arrivals to book directly your taxi. Once you have the ticket, go outside and line in the UBER queue to get the next available taxi. You can give your ticket with the code to the driver.
You can also follow the taxi signs and queue for AAA taxi (yellow cab). You should keep in mind that you must head to the railed taxi waiting area at the front of the taxi line where you will find a staff member in a high visibility jacket. This way, they will direct you to a taxi that is allocated to you.
Taxi fares depend on the day and hour of the day, but the average price is around €17 - €27.
How to get to Prague University of Econommics and Business Campus?
City Center to Prague University of Economics and Business Campus
The Prague University of Economics and Business Campus where the Career Forum will be held is located close to the city center, about 10 to 20min walking distance depending on your hotel location.
From City Center to Prague University of Economics and Business Campus
In your location search tool, you can enter the address of the school: nám. Winstona Churchilla 1938/4, 120 00 Praha 3-Žižkov, Czechia.
The entrance is located in front right of Churchill Square.
If you need to take public transportation in order to go to the school:
• Tramways 9, 5 or 26 stop at the station Viktoria Žižkov and walk 5min.
• Subway C towards Letňany, stop at the station Hlavní nádraží and walk around 10min.
• Bus 135 towards Chodov, stop at the station Náměstí Winstona Churchilla and walk 2min.
